How SuperNatural Skincare began

Hi, I'm Sallyann, founder of SuperNatural Skincare.

My journey into skincare began many years ago as a dermal therapist. I have always been fascinated by the skin—how it functions, how it heals, and how profoundly it affects a person's confidence and wellbeing.

Throughout my years in clinic, I worked with hundreds of clients struggling with concerns such as acne, pigmentation, sensitivity, dehydration, premature ageing, loss of elasticity, enlarged pores, scarring, and chronic inflammation. Like many skincare professionals, I invested in premium skincare brands and genuinely believed in the promises they made.

But over time, I became increasingly frustrated.

I was seeing some results, but not the transformational, long-term changes my clients deserved. Around 30% of my clients simply weren't getting the breakthroughs we were hoping for, despite using quality products and following professional advice.

As I looked deeper, I began noticing something else.

Many skincare ranges treated individual symptoms but failed to connect the dots. Products often worked in isolation rather than together as a complete solution. There were gaps in the treatment journey. One product might target hydration, another pigmentation, another ageing—but there wasn't a holistic strategy that supported the skin as a complete system.

As a skincare therapist

I realised that skin problems are rarely caused by just one thing.

Ageing, acne, pigmentation, sensitivity and inflammation are often connected to factors such as sun damage, impaired skin barriers, harsh skincare ingredients, dehydration, stress, hormones, diet, gut health, and environmental toxins.

This led me on a journey of research that changed everything.

I immersed myself in understanding the chemistry of the skin, the impact of potentially harmful ingredients found in skincare and personal care products, and the relationship between overall health and skin health.

What I discovered not only answered many of my clients' skin concerns—it also provided answers to some of my own health challenges.

I came to understand a simple but powerful truth:

Healthy skin begins beneath the surface.

Many skincare products focus only on the outermost layer of the skin, but real and lasting change occurs deeper within the skin where collagen production, repair, inflammation control and regeneration take place.

That revelation became the foundation of SuperNatural Skincare.

I set out to create a skincare range that combined the best of nature with advanced cosmeceutical science. A range that worked holistically. A range where every product had a purpose and worked in partnership with the others to create real skin transformation.
